Richmond Pass Health and Safety Review with Flying Colours!

RICHMOND Home Improvement have just passed their eighth consecutive annual Health and Safety Compliance audit.

The HSG65 Audit and Review was carried out by Malcolm Pitcher of MSP Business Services, a specialist consultancy based in Bournemouth dealing with management, personnel and safety procedures and processes.

Malcolm said: ”All companies will already have various processes in place, and the management of health and safety is no different.

“To ensure compliance, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) nurtures a common-sense approach to managing health and safety which should form part of the everyday process of running an organisation and an integral part of the workplace environment” Malcolm added.

Regardless of industry, size or nature of an organisation, the core elements to effectively managing health and safety are:

• leadership and management;
• a trained/skilled workforce;
• an environment where people are trusted and involved.

The HSE advocates that all these elements, underpinned by understanding the profile of risks an organisation creates or faces, are needed.
