Richmond Supports Local Charity MyTime

RICHMOND Home Improvement Co, teamed up with Connaught Windows to assist the MyTime charity with necessary improvements to their residential centre in the Isle of Purbeck.

Richmond who are one of Dorset's leading replacement window and door installers managed the replacement of some windows and various remedial works required. They recruited the assistance of Dorset based Connaught Windows, who supplied most of the products free of charge.

MyTIME’s outdoor centre is situated in the depths of Dorset in beautiful Worth Matravers. It helps 100s of heroic young carers across Dorset and the UK to take respite and have some well-earned fun for themselves!

Founding charity member, Matthew Barker said: “Our young carers' breaks are designed to take young people away from their day-to-day lives and give them time to be young and time to be free. At home they are often tied to a strict timetable of caring, cooking and cleaning on top of their everyday school work and have little free time. Our outdoor centre in Worth Matravers, offers young carers plenty of time to enjoy themselves and make new friends, all the time and space they need.”

Allan Tofield said “I have been aware of MyTime through my acquaintance with Matthew over the years and they recently spoke at a Bournemouth Property Association lunch, which touched everyone in the room. We are all guilty of taking things for granted, so when we heard exactly what young carers have to endure it touched the hearts of everybody”.

“That day I made a pledge to help the charity and am delighted to be able to do so with the expertise of our staff and skilled installation teams.”
