Richmond Home Improvement Co. started trading in January of 1999 by our proprietor Mr A.D. Tofield who, from working within the industry for many years had identified a need for a local company who would provide a higher standard of service and customer care, in addition to the high quality products our customers require.

In addition to our domestic customers we carry out installations for many local authorities, housing associations, builders, developers, managing agents and resident committees in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and the New Forest.  Richmond Home Improvement Co. has been built on completing quality installations resulting in happy and satisfied customers who are only too pleased to recommend us to their friends, family, colleagues and customers.  Our philosophy of a high standard of service is promoted by our installation teams who are fully employed by our company, every care is taken by our engineers to protect all carpets and furniture with regularly laundered dust sheets and particular attention is made to avoid any damage to internal and external decorative surfaces. We endeavour to carry out all our installations with the minimal disruption and disturbance to you, our customers, as well as your neighbours.

We carry full liability and employers’ liability insurance and are certified as licensed waste carriers with the Environment Agency.  We are also a FENSA registered company, therefore all of the windows and doors supplied to you are compliant with current Building Regulations and include an independent 10 year Insurance Backed Guarantee in addition to our own warranty, for your peace of mind.

As with all home improvements, our customers have serious decisions to make and at  Richmond we understand this, which is why we take the time to prepare all of the information you need and not just a price. Our consultant can visit you in your home and will only be with you for as long as it takes to ascertain your exact needs, it is not our company’s policy to take up any more of your time than is necessary, (our time is precious too). We can either supply you with a quotation on the day, or if that is not possible a written quotation will be submitted to you by post, usually within 2 to 3 working days.  This service is completely free of charge and you are under no obligation to place your order until you are fully satisfied, that we, can furnish you, with your exact requirements.
